Laurel Wentworth-Roach is the manager of the Darling’s Agency. She began her career as a receptionist at a local agency in the mid 1980’s, moving quickly into the commercial lines department where she worked extensively in the Bangor market. Laurel obtained her Property and Casualty license in 1996 and, after working on the agency side for 12 years, made the move to work for a large national commercial carrier in marketing and sales.
Laurel graduated from the University of Maine at Machias with an Associates Degree in accounting and is currently working towards her Certified Insurance Counselor designation. She is an active member of the Insurance Professionals of Eastern Maine where she was awarded the Insurance Professional of the Year Award in 1999 and again in 2006. In 2009, she obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and her Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designations.
As a Maine native, Laurel grew up in Washington County and has resided the last 20 years in Bangor. She has three children, Stephanie is in the Texas Air National Guard, Lauren is employed at Eastern Maine Medical Center, and Robert is in the US Navy.
